DAY THREE - NOVEMBER 3

| ONLY 20 MILES LEFT TO GO!
Coach Carter will be leaving at 8:00AM from MACE and Road 32A, about 20 miles from Sacramento. He will be arriving at the steps of the State Capital at 11:00AM for the rally.
After two full days, the Coach is feeling good and confident and hopes that the kids will benefit from his efforts and others will be inspired to go the extra mile . . . parents, teachers, members of the school board, and the students themselves!

DAY TWO - NOVEMMBER 2
|
Coach Carter will start the next leg of his Scoot for Schools by speaking to students at Armijo High School in Fairfield then scooting off at 8:20 AM .

| COACH KEN CARTER'S JOURNEY BEGINS!
Richmond, CA, Monday, November 1, 2000. As previously announced, Coach Ken Carter will begin his kickscoot for schools from Richmond High School to the steps of the State Capitol this morning.

The Kick-Off for this event will begin this at 8:15 am (pst), where Coach Ken Carter will receive a sendoff by the community, colleagues and students of Richmond High School. Leaving Richmond High, located at 1250 - 23rd Street, Richmond, CA, Coach Carter will travel northbound on 23rd Street to SanPablo Avenue, to the City of San Pablo, continuing through the cities of Pinole, Hercules, Crockett and Rodeo, destined for Suisun City, California.
The first planned stop with be at the NorthBay YMCA at 585 E.Wigeon Way in Suisun City.

Coach Carter intends to talk to a group of boys and girls, ages 6-17 years old, about the values of education and will introduce his "Icon of Education, Mr. G.P.A , a learning tool created to assist in the development of better study habits, thereby achieving greater potential for a higher GPA.
The children will have an opportunity to participate in a mini-basketball clinic with the Coach and to play a few one-on-one rounds with him.

Late Update:
Coach Ken Carter ended day one of his "Scooting for Schools" journey on a high note. 50 youngsters and their parents met the coach at the North YMCA in Suisun. One Armijo High School student waited all day to challenge Coach Carter to a one-on-one game of basketball. Even after scooting all day, Coach Carter defeated the young man.
